Nick DelBello currently maintains an active schedule as a trumpeter, pianist, organist, conductor, and educator. In the 2016-2017 season Nick will be making guest conducting appearances with both the Southern Tier Symphony Orchestra and the Cheektowaga Community Symphony Orchestra as a finalist in each group’s search for a new music director. Past engagements include serving as a guest conductor with the Amherst Symphony Orchestra, Genesee Symphony Orchestra, Southern Tier Chamber Strings, Freudig Singers of Western New York, and the Chautauqua All-County Brass Ensemble.
This is Nick's sixth season as the founding music director of the Buffalo Brass Choir, a 17-25 piece professional brass and percussion ensemble. At the close of this season, Nick will have led the BBC in thirty-five performances across the Western New York region. The BBC has hosted numerous brass and percussion players from the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra as both soloists and guest section musicians and has partnered with several area schools and colleges for concerts and workshops.
Nick is a newly appointed music teacher in the Williamsville Central Schools, having previously taught for six years as a vocal and instrumental music teacher in the Buffalo Public Schools. In Williamsville, Nick is the district's music theory instructor, teaching introductory and Advanced Placement level theory classes. Nick is also an adjunct faculty member at Canisius College.
As a church musician, Nick was the Director of Music at Blessed Trinity Church from 2010-2016 and now works as a substitute organist. As a member of the Church Musicians Guild of
Buffalo, Nick is active as both a frequent performer on member recitals and as a guest clinician.
As a trumpeter, Nick has performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Southern Tier Symphony Orchestra, the Western New York Chamber Orchestra, Ars Nova Chamber Musicians, Opera Sacra, the Clarence Summer Orchestra, the American Wind Symphony Orchestra, the Eastern Music Festival Orchestra, and the Venice (FL) Symphony Orchestra. As a trumpet soloist, Nick has appeared with the SUNY Fredonia Wind Ensemble and the Amherst Chamber Orchestra. He can be heard on the SUNY Fredonia Wind Ensemble's 2011 CD Commissions and Concertos and on local band Brian Wheat and Groggy Darlin's 2007 CD Where Have You Been.
Nick holds a bachelors degree from SUNY Fredonia and a masters degree from the University of Miami. He lives in Kenmore with his wife Miranda, who is a music teacher in the Kenmore-Tonawanda Schools and an accomplished flutist, and their newborn son, Vincent.

The Buffalo Brass Choir, comprised of up to 25 of Western New York's finest brass and percussion players, has quickly become one of the premier ensembles of the Niagara Frontier. Now entering its sixth season, the BBC is committed to dynamic programming and superb performances of both works originally composed for brass ensemble and orchestral transcriptions.
The BBC performs regularly throughout WNY, including performances in some of the region's most beautiful and acoustically sound churches, as well as area schools and colleges. The BBC is also committed to educational outreach, presenting master classes and side-by-side performances with area schools.
